Check the validity of your e-vignette

Снимка: БГНЕС

In the first two months of 2026, the validity of over 682,000 annual vignettes for passenger cars expires. Of these, around 311,000 expire in January, and over 371,000 in February. Every driver can check the validity of the vignette of the vehicle he drives on the website www.bgtoll.bg from the button “Check vignette“. After entering the registration number of the vehicle and the country in which it is registered, the expiry date of the vignette can be determined, regardless of where it was purchased – from the facilities of the “Road Infrastructure“ Agency or in the sales network of RIA partners. The status can be “active“, “expired“ or “unused“ in cases where the vignette was purchased with a delayed start up to 30 days from the start date of validity.

By December 21, over 6.7 million vignettes had been sold, and the revenue from them was over 312 million leva. Traditionally, the most preferred by drivers are the annual and weekly ones. Of all the annual vignettes sold, 2,573,621 were sold, followed by the weekly ones - 2,565,161, followed by the monthly ones - 827,424, the weekend vignettes - 691,385, and the quarterly ones - 107,522.

From January 1, 2026, the prices of the vignettes will not change and will be the same as they are at the moment, but they will be listed in euros and leva. The conversion will be carried out automatically at the official fixed exchange rate and will not require any additional action from users. When paying in cash in January 2026, it will be possible to pay both in leva and in euros, in accordance with the rules for introducing the single currency. Electronic payments will be made in euros.

The prices of vignettes in 2026 are as follows:

Annual – 49.60 euros (97 leva)

Quarterly – 27.61 euros (54 leva)

Monthly – 15.34 euros (30 leva)

Weekly – 7.67 euros (15 leva)

Weekend – 5.11 euros (10 leva)

One-day – 4.09 euros (8 leva) and is valid from February 3, 2026.

The one-day vignette will be introduced from February 3, 2026. It will be valid for passenger cars up to 3.5 tons and will allow use of the national road network for a period of 24 hours.

Drivers should keep in mind that in connection with the preparation for the introduction of the euro, there will be temporary interruptions to the payment systems of the National Toll Administration:

The NTU recalls that from December 22 to December 31, 2025, it will temporarily not be possible to purchase vignettes by bank transfer via the website www.bgtoll.bg and the mobile application. This is necessary in connection with the preparation of the payment systems for the transition to the euro. Users who most often use this payment channel have been notified by e-mail. During this period, vignettes will be available for purchase in all other ways: by bank card via the website www.bgtoll.bg and the mobile application, at a counter against payment in cash or through a self-toll terminal - with a card. The counters are located at the main border checkpoints, as well as in the 27 regional road departments. There are 464 self-toll terminals. Vignettes can also be purchased from the partner network of the “Road Infrastructure“ Agency.

Route cards purchased in 2025 can have a travel date no later than 31.12.2025 inclusive. A travel date after 01.01.2026 will not be able to be selected, although the product allows purchase up to 7 days in advance. For example, when purchasing a route card on December 28, 2025, it will be possible to select a travel date until December 31, 2025, but not for January 1, 2026 and beyond.

From 21:00 on December 31, 2025 to 02:00 on January 1, 2026, all sales channels of the National Toll Administration, as well as those of the National Service Providers, will be temporarily unavailable. The interruption is necessary in connection with the performance of planned technical maintenance and subsequent checks for the normal functioning of the systems. During this period, making payments, including in cash, will not be possible.

The recommendation to drivers who are planning to travel during the specified periods is to purchase the required vignette or route card in advance, bearing in mind that route cards can be used until December 31, 2025 inclusive.

For any questions, drivers can contact the “Communication Center“ of the National Toll Administration by phone at 0700 10 876 (the cost of the call is according to the tariff plan) or at +359 700 10 876 for calls from other countries. The center operates every day from 08:00 to 20:00, and in connection with planned interruptions it will operate overtime from 21:00 on December 31, 2025 to 08:00 on January 1, 2026.

The National Toll Administration appeals to users when purchasing a vignette to use the website www.bgtoll.bg or the mobile application, as well as other RIA sales channels - at the counter against payment in cash or through a self-toll terminal - with a card. Vignettes can also be purchased from the partner network of the “Road Infrastructure” Agency through the sites www.vinetki.bg, www.tollpass.bg, www.digitoll.bg, www.yettel.bg, www.A1.bg, www.vivacom.bg, www.grabo.bg, www.my.fibank.bg www.spotins.bg, epay.bg, www.boleron.bg as well as at the cash desks at „A1“, „Vivacom“, „Bulgarian Posts“, „Easy Pay“, „Fast Pay“, „Kolkhida 3b“, and at the gas stations „Lukoil“, „Petrol“, „OMV“, „EKO“, „Cruiz“, „Benita“, „Gazprom“, „Shell“, „VM Petroleum, „Tahoe Ventsi“ service centers, „I&G Insurance Brokers“, „Omnikar & Partners“, „General Broker“, or through the mobile applications UBB Mobile, TollPass, Phyre, Amaranth Bulgaria, iCard, Cardbox, Epay and Bulbank Mobile.

When purchasing a vignette, users must carefully review and verify the information entered by them or by the relevant employee before confirming the final payment. The responsibility for filling in correct information about the vehicle number, its category and the validity period of the vignette lies with its owner or user. In case of incorrectly declared data, it is considered that the due fee for the respective vehicle has not been paid.

The characters of the license plate can be entered in both Cyrillic and Latin characters, but must correspond to the characters in the license plate itself. When writing the number, only letters and numbers are entered. The symbols 0 (zero) and О (letter O) are not interchangeable. For a digit in the number, 0 (zero) must be entered, and for a letter „О“. If the license plate contains a dash, dot or space, they are not entered.
