"Yes, Bulgaria" responded to Borisov: He is acting according to a well-known treasonous and propaganda scheme

We remind Borisov that "Yes, Bulgaria" is a party that has always fought for the freedom and equality of all Bulgarian citizens. We have always condemned the so-called "Revival Process" and its successors today

Borisov talks about "danger", but refuses to say what exactly. Therefore, we expect him to specify: what danger he sees in the words and actions of politicians who have bowed to the Turkian Fountain and honored the memory of the victims of the forced name change. Bowing to innocent victims is not a threat. A threat is turning memory into an occasion for suggestions and division. This was written by the press center of "Yes, Bulgaria" on the occasion of the statement published today by GERB leader Boyko Borisov on social networks.

We publish the entire position of the party without editorial intervention:

We remind Borisov that “Yes, Bulgaria” is a party that has always fought for the freedom and equality of all Bulgarian citizens. We have always condemned the so-called “Revival Process” and its successors today. This is not the first time we have been to Turkian Cheshma.

But Borisov is acting according to a well-known gangster and propaganda scheme: to stigmatize and brand his opponents, instead of speaking on the merits. What is this threat he is throwing in the face of society?

Why did Borisov never go to Turkian Cheshma and condemn the “Revival Process”? Perhaps because his entire career serves the continuation of the State Security's schemes, including through the dirty symbiosis with Peeski. And he tries to wash his dirty conscience by talking about “sons and grandchildren”.

When Borisov hands out such labels, it is appropriate to recall his own public confessions and stories about his path in the system: how he dreamed of being accepted into the State Security — the specialty at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; how he left the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to keep his party membership card; and about the free security provided to Todor Zhivkov — personally, as his valet and servant who brings coffee. When a person with such a biography — a convinced communist, supporter of the State Security and associate of the dictator Todor Zhivkov in a personal capacity — talks about “communists, children and grandchildren“, this is not just cosmic hypocrisy, but political schizophrenia, from which Bulgaria must be cured.

The second — and more important — is the real reason for the hysteria. It is not “fear for Bulgaria“, but fear of the collapse of the schemes. Fear that the model by which he and Peevski shared territories and influence could break: mixed districts for the “big D“ against the transfer of votes for GERB from minorities in other districts. If this agreement begins to fall apart in the upcoming elections, if people stop voting on command and seek representation outside of pressure and threats, then their entire control mechanism over the elections will collapse.

And that is exactly what he is afraid of — and this fear spills over into a personal, “animal“ fear, including for its security. Because this is not fear for the state, but fear for the citizens. Borisov and Peevski cannot walk freely on the streets because the people do not want them. And when you see the contrast - some are among the people and in front of memory, others are hiding - you understand why Borisov calls this “dangerous“. It is dangerous not for Bulgaria. It is dangerous for their tandem and their privileges. Peevski was not at Türkyan Cheshma “ out of fear. He hid. Yes, this truly terrifies Borisov.

Borisov unmasks both his fear and that of Peevski. So at least it is clear how important it is to continue: we must eliminate all their privileges and their clubs, to unravel the feudal networks so that local feudal lords and subordinate institutions stop commanding communities and elections. Because “dangerous“ is not honoring the victims. It is dangerous to govern through dependencies, compromising materials, and blackmail — and then to be afraid that the dependencies no longer work.

If Bulgarian Turks vote freely, this will have tectonic significance for Bulgarian politics. Coming soon.
