The leader of There Is Such a People Slavi Trifonov published on his "Facebook" profile an address to Bulgarians on the occasion of the New Year.
Dear ladies and gentlemen, esteemed compatriots, dear friends, Happy New Year. With all my heart and soul, I sincerely wish you health, luck, peace and inner peace - to you, your families, your friends and all the people you love and cannot live without.
Since the moment is very special, I would like you to allow me to say something personal: all the compromises I made over the past year were because of this moment, because I unconditionally believe that from now on Bulgaria will be a full and full member of the European community - something that we all absolutely deserve.
The Bulgarian financial system will be guaranteed, Bulgarian tourism will become world-class tourism and Bulgaria will be a dream destination for all citizens of the world. And most of all, and most importantly - we will all live better.
I am also sure that very soon no one will remember the political intrigues, lies, self-deceptions and in general all the troubles that happened in Bulgarian political life and in the public space over the past year. Because what is happening right now is much more important, more meaningful and more responsible than all the past petty things.
I believe in all this and that is why I did what I had to and what depended on me. I have always been like this and it is quite late for me to change.
