The deputies of the parliamentary legal committee are meeting again today to continue work on amendments to the Electoral Code, BNT reports. So far, the proposal of the ITN for the so-called removal of dead souls from the electoral rolls was adopted on the second reading.
For this purpose, they will be drawn up based on the latest national census by the National Statistical Institute in 2021. The deputies of the committee also adopted for the second reading a limitation on the number of sections in countries outside the European Union.
Up to 20 electoral sections will be opened for Bulgarians with the right to vote outside diplomatic missions and consulates. The text was proposed by “Vazrazhdane“.
