In Gabrovo, the Regional Operational Headquarters for Combating Influenza and Acute Respiratory Diseases is meeting today to decide whether to take anti-epidemic measures, Nova TV reports.
A flu epidemic has already been declared for three other regions in the country - these are Varna, Dobrich and Burgas, with the measures in Burgas taking effect tomorrow.
In addition to Gabrovo, there has been a serious increase in the number of cases in the past week in Yambol, Ruse, Smolyan, Veliko Tarnovo, Blagoevgrad and Sofia region, which also puts them on the verge of an epidemic situation.
