A man broke two of the cable car cabins in Borovets, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sofia announced.
The report was received at the police station in the resort in the early afternoon on Tuesday. The man is 32 years old from Samokov. He has a previous conviction. It was established that he was intoxicated during the act of vandalism. He was detained for a period of up to 24 hours.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case for destruction or damage to another's movable or immovable property. If proven, the act is punishable by imprisonment for up to five years. The investigation is ongoing.
