A specialized police operation in railway transport is underway as of this morning. It is organized by RAILPOL, the European association of national police forces responsible for order and security in the railway sector, with similar actions being carried out in all member countries. This was announced by the Ministry of Interior.
In our country, the tasks within the framework of the operation are carried out by the employees of the “Gendarmerie“ Directorate. Their actions began this morning at 7 am and will end at 7 am on January 23.
During their work, the teams monitor trains and stations for abandoned suspicious packages and luggage, passengers with conflicting behavior, and to prevent any actions that threaten security in railway transport, as well as for illegal migrants.
