“We have yet to see which party will be his mandate holder, what his program for governance will be, so we are expecting Rumen Radev“, said the MP from “Vazrazhdane“ Tsveta Rangelova in the program “Face to Face“ on bTV.

“I don't know what the program of the party that Rumen Radev will lead is, so only then can we talk about similarities and differences. We are expecting him with completely calm feelings as a political player on the stage“, she also said.

In her words, if Radev's party had policies that were close to those of “Vazrazhdane“, they would negotiate.

Reshaping the Electoral Code

“Rudely, ugly, brazenly and by imposing the power of the majority, they adopted in the dark some texts that will put the integrity of the vote at risk“, commented Tsveta Rangelova.

According to her, it is not good legislative practice to reshape the electoral technique days before the elections and introduce a new voting mechanism.

“Between the first and second readings of these bills, about 100 paragraphs submitted by a working group appeared. When I asked who the working group was and who the MPs were, it was found that no one recognized the proposals. There are no signatures. We never found out who the submitter was. To a large extent, these proposals of the working group coincided with the proposals submitted by “There is such a people“, pointed out the MP from “Vazrazhdane“.

“The scandalous thing is that they were voted on by the Legal Committee on the second reading. We will vote with new machines, which, however, no one has seen or knows how they work and how the fairness of the vote will be controlled“, said Rangelova.

“This bill imposes obligations on the CEC, and they said that the time left until the elections is insufficient. This is also the main idea of the submitters of the amendments – not to be implemented and to vote by paper“, the MP from “Vazrazhdane“ also pointed out.
