The Sofia Municipality continues its intensive work on cleaning and garbage collection in the most affected districts of Sofia - – „Slatina“, „Poduyane“ and „Lyulin“.

„Slatina“ District
8 garbage collection trucks, one garbage truck, as well as one multi-lift to service the large waste transfer containers worked in the district. The areas served were the areas around “Sofia Airport”, “Todor Kableshkov“ VTU and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “Shipchenski Prohod“ Blvd., “Sitnyakovo“ Blvd., “Boris Hristov“ St. and “Geo Milev“ St.
Cleaning was carried out on the main streets in the “Reduta“ district, the carriageway between “Kalimantsi“ St., “Atanas Uzunov“ St., “Galabets“ St. and “Sitnyakovo“ Blvd., as well as in the carriageway “Tsarigradsko Shose“ – “Alexander Zhendov“ – „Hristo Chernopeev“ – „Shipchenski prohod“, including the area around the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
Also served are the streets „Ivan Dimitrov – Kuklata“, „Mirkovo“, „Kosta Lulchev“, blvd. „Shipchenski prohod“, blvd. „Sitnyakovo“ and ul. „Edison“, as well as the residential area „Hristo Smirnenski“, the residential area „Yavorov“ and adjacent streets.
Garbage collection equipment and a garbage truck also worked in the „Hristo Botev“ district.
„Poduyane“ district
7 garbage collection trucks and one garbage truck worked in the area. The carriageway between „Cherkovna“ Str., „Vladimir Vazov“ Str., „Todorini Kukli“ and „Botevgradsko Shose“ Str., as well as areas in the „Hadzhi Dimitar“ district – the carriageway between „Vasil Kanchev“ Str., „Rezbarska“ Str., „Makgahan“ and “Vladimir Vazov“ Blvd., including re-servicing of “Stefan Karadzha“ district.
Garbage collection was also carried out in the area between “Makgahan“ St., “Rezbarska“ St. and “Chavdar“ Bridge, in “Levski G“ district, “Levski V“ district, as well as on “Teofil Ganev“ St. and the local lanes of “Botevgradsko Shose“ Blvd.
From the “Slatina“ and “Poduyane“ districts 137 tons of waste were collected, with a standard daily rate of 90 tons for both regions.
„Lyulin“ District
Garbage collection was carried out in the region on streets with mass public transport, streets of public importance and intra-neighborhood streets in all microdistricts, as well as in the Lyulin-Center zone, the Industrial zone and the „Filipovtsi“ residential area.

„Slatina“ District
Today, 4 garbage collection trucks are working in the region. The areas served are: Sofia Airport, Todor Kableshkov Military Technical University, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shipchenski Prohod Blvd., Sitnyakovo Blvd., Boris Hristov St. and Geo Milev St., the main streets in the Reduta district, the carriageway around Sitnyakovo Blvd., the area around the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Hristo Smirnenski District, Yavorov District, as well as Hristo Botev District.
Poduyane District
There are 4 garbage collection trucks operating in the area. The carriage service continues around „Cherkovna“ St., „Vladimir Vazov“ Blvd., „Todorini Kukli“ St. and „Botevgradsko Shosse“ Blvd., the areas in „Hadzhi Dimitar“, „Levski G“, as well as the streets and local lanes of „Botevgradsko Shosse“ Blvd.
„Lyulin“ District
During the weekends on the ground in the „Lyulin“ 8 garbage collection trucks will operate, which will serve all microdistricts, as well as the “Filipovtsi“ quarter.
In the three districts, the work is at an advanced stage, with most of the accumulations and litter around the containers already cleaned. The intensive work of the teams of the Sofia Municipality, the Sofia Waste Treatment Enterprise and the company “Sofekostroy” continues until the complete normalization of garbage collection, informs the Municipality.
