Atanas Semov - one of the judges whose signature is under this decision, explained that although the situation is unprecedented, the Constitution has prepared such a hypothesis.
„The replacement of the president with the vice president was carried out in a completely legitimate manner. I think that after the decision of the Constitutional Court on Friday, no unclear questions remained”, he told Nova TV.
When asked whether an insurmountable constitutional problem could arise if everyone from the „house book” refuse the post of caretaker prime minister, he replied:
“Insurmountable constitutional problems rarely arise. I am certain that the common sense of the Constitution does not imply that the state should remain without a government or without elections. Again, it is a matter of political responsibility.”
