As of midnight, a complete restriction has been introduced for the passage of trucks through the border points "Deve Bair", "Delchevo" and "Novo Selo" on the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia. The situation on the borders is currently calm.
The institutions are on standby, informs the Regional Administration - Blagoevgrad, which maintains contact with the Regional Office of the Ministry of Interior - Blagoevgrad, "Border Police" and the involved services.
The drivers of trucks are informed in a timely manner in order to prevent congestion and tension. The blockade is in place because of the "90/180" rule, which prevents international drivers from third countries from working in the European Union for more than 90 days within a 180-day period.
