Partial state of emergency again in Ardino: Six villages are without connection to the world

By order of the mayor, the movement and residence of motor vehicles in the designated critical areas is prohibited in order to guarantee the safety of the population

A flooded bridge over the Arda River has again cut off the only road connection for six villages, the Municipality announced.

The Mayor of Ardino, Eng. Izet Shaban, once again declared a partial state of emergency due to the heavy rainfall that fell on January 26, 27, 28 and 29.

The measure applies to part of the territory of the municipality and covers six settlements - Rusalsko, Lyubino, Latinka, Avramovo, Pesnopoy and Spoluka.

The reason for declaring the state of emergency is the flooding of the reinforced concrete bridge over the Arda River, located on a national road in the area of the village of Kitnitsa.

As a result of the arrivals The bridge has become impassable, which again left the affected settlements without a road connection.

By order of the mayor, the movement and residence of motor vehicles in the designated critical areas is prohibited in order to guarantee the safety of the population.

The bridge is the only transport connection for the residents of the affected villages.
