Protest blocks road to Danube Bridge 2 near Montana

The cause of the discontent was the death of a 44-year-old man

The international road to Danube Bridge 2 near Montana was blocked for nearly an hour this afternoon, NOVA reported.

Relatives and friends of a 44-year-old man who died in an accident earlier this week came out to protest against, in their words, the state's inaction in the war on the roads.

The incident occurred on Tuesday near Vratsa, when Lyubomir's car was hit by a car driven by a Turkish citizen. The prosecutor's office in Vratsa announced that the driver was hospitalized and was banned from leaving the country. Protesters said they were losing loved ones and friends without seeing any real measures to improve road safety.

“We lost a good friend, a great person, and this needs to stop,“ said a protester.
