In the person of citizen Rumen Radev, we have a very serious competitor, I would say something more - we are political rivals, said the chairman of “Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria“ (DSB) Atanas Atanasov on the show “120 minutes” on bTV.
As the chairman of the party I represent, and my colleagues, because we are thoroughly discussing the political situation and what will happen in the elections and after the elections, we do not find any grounds for cooperation with Radev and what will be built after him, because to this day he refuses to explain with whom, how he will appear in the elections, but his orientation is quite clearly visible, commented Atanas Atanasov.
He indicated that he had listened carefully to Rumen Radev's interview on public television. He spoke about fighting the oligarchy, about fighting inequalities, said Atanasov. Yes, inequalities are a serious problem in Bulgaria, but they are a product of the oligarchy. Here I want to ask which oligarchy Rumen Radev will fight, asked the DSB leader.
Atanasov also commented on the signing of a coalition agreement with "We continue the change" and "Yes, Bulgaria" for the upcoming elections. The fact that a political force, let's say in this case "We continue the change", has gathered its national body and has made certain decisions with which to enter the negotiations – this is their right. Why not. We also in DSB made a decision before them, we just haven't announced it because we thought it was wise not to make a fuss in the public space, but we need to sit at the table, make our decisions and show up for these elections consolidated, the DSB leader pointed out. In his words, the upcoming elections are extremely important for Bulgaria's path, because there is a risk that "some will try to take us back to the east".
