There are many more unknowns than knowns before the early parliamentary elections. This was said in the program "Face to Face" on bTV by political scientist Dimitar Ganev.
Two lines are clearly visible on the part of GERB – the successes of the government will be highlighted, such as the Recovery Plan, diplomatic successes and international contacts of Boyko Borisov. Borisov's silence regarding Rumen Radev is key – there are no attacks against the main competitor on the political terrain. Borisov is well aware that Radev's greatest resource, which could launch him forward, is the penalty and protest vote, said Ganev.
The leader of "New Beginning" Delyan Peevski is also silent on the topic - there is no – there is no "Mr. Cash", there is no "Botas". Because the attack on Radev will legitimize him as the political alternative that he hopes for, and will make the story easy for him, the political analyst added.
The less they criticize Radev, the less grist they pour into his mill. This campaign, contrary to expectations, will not pass in a highly confrontational style for this very reason, predicts Dimitar Ganev.
When there is a new major subject on the scene, a lot depends on the campaign. A successful campaign can create a big wave that can greatly change the balance of power, the political analyst also noted regarding Radev's participation in the elections.
