The Svishtov District Court is expected to consider the measures for the detention of the two detainees for animal cruelty in the village of Tsarevets today. The man and the woman are currently in custody for a period of up to 72 hours. The prosecutor's office insists on their permanent detention.
Detelin Avramov and Anita Vachkova have been charged with killing animals in a particularly torturous manner, as well as for distributing pornographic materials. They have been involved in criminal activity for more than 10 years.
A large number of torture devices were found during the arrest, and over 80 videos intended for sale on the Internet were seized. Avramov and Vachkova were detained in an operation by the General Directorate of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, the General Directorate of the National Police. and the prosecutor's office after a signal from the animal protection organization "Say".
