The State Agency for Child Protection (SACP) is taking action in connection with the case of the wanted child after the triple murder near "Petrohan", Nova TV reported.
Earlier, the father Yani Makulev announced on the air of "Hello, Bulgaria" that his child is with Ivaylo Kalushev, who has been missing for several days.
The agency reports that until the morning of February 6, 2026, the SACP had not received any official signals related to the child and his family. Later that same day, however, a report was received through the agency's online platform “Report a Report“.
After receiving the information, the State Agency for Child Protection took immediate action, notifying all competent protection authorities and requesting available information on the case.
The 15-year-old son of the speleologist is missing and is being sought after the triple murder near “Petrohan“ Ivaylo Kalushev and Nikolay Zlatkov, with the last contact with the child being on January 29 during a stay at sea. Makulev said that after that moment the phones of the three were turned off, but expressed confidence that his son was safe, as he has known Kalushev for decades and trusts him. The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the information is not new to them, work on all versions continues.
