The Regional Health Inspectorate (RHI) in Sliven recommended that the water in the city temporarily not be used for drinking and cooking until the final results of laboratory tests are received, the institution announced.
The recommendation comes after measures taken by "ViK - Sliven" OOD to eliminate the causes that led to the deterioration of the quality of water for drinking and domestic purposes. As a result of these actions, RHI has conducted sampling from several points on the territory of the city of Sliven.
According to preliminary data, according to the indicators "color" and "transparency" the water already meets the regulatory requirements. No deviations have been detected in the other chemical indicators, the health inspection specifies.
However, until the final laboratory results related to the microbiological indicators are released, the RHI - Sliven recommends that the water be used only for domestic purposes, and not for drinking and preparing food.
