The UK has extended the term of the general license for "Lukoil" subsidiaries in Bulgaria.
As a result of the consistent actions taken at the government level from the first day after the introduction of sanctions, our country provides stability and peace of mind for Bulgarian citizens and businesses. The Ministry of Energy continues to work in
close cooperation with international partners to preserve jobs, ensure the smooth operation of the Bulgarian refinery and guarantee the country's energy security.
The general license includes the companies "Lukoil Bulgaria", "Lukoil Neftochim Burgas", "Lukoil Aviation Bulgaria" and "Lukoil - Bulgaria Bunker". The license entered into force on November 14, 2025, and after a series of talks between the Minister of Energy and foreign partners, the term was extended until August 13, 2026. We recall that initially the license was valid until February 14, 2026.
