Today's meeting of the Sofia Municipal Council will consider a report on the change of management of the municipal company "Stolichne Autotransport". The proposal was submitted by municipal councilors from PP-DB, "Spasi Sofia" and "Sinya Sofia", reports BNT.
A few days ago, the mayor of Sofia officially requested the resignation of the director of the municipal enterprise, Stiliyan Manolov. As reasons, the Sofia mayor cited the signing of contracts for tens of millions, exceeding the scope of this mandate, as well as the purchase of 25 second-hand buses at a price up to 8 times higher than the market price.
The head of the “Stolichny autotransport“ in turn defined the reasons for his requested resignation as “untenable“. He also stated that the enterprise purchases buses according to criteria set by the Sofia Municipal Council.
