Imitations of Buddhism are quite widespread. What was revealed in the case of "Petrohan - Okolchitsa" is an imitation of Buddhist practices. This was said by archaeologist Prof. Nikolay Ovcharov on the air of "Offensive with Lyubo Ognyanov" on NOVA NEWS.

“Instead of giving money for such things, let's give it to archaeology”, said the professor.

He pointed out that such sects exist everywhere in the world, but this is happening in our country for the first time. He added that politicizing the tragedy is unacceptable. The researcher believes that it will not be clear what exactly happened in Petrokhan and near Okolchitsa.

On the occasion of the professional holiday of archaeologists - February 14, Ovcharov said, the work of these researchers is not easy, but it is a reason for pride.

He said that the state has allocated funds for archaeological excavations of some of the important sites.
