Many cars are stuck in the section between the Pamporovo resort and the junction for the village of Progled due to the intense snowfall and complicated road conditions, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Smolyan announced.
"Traffic Police" teams are redirecting drivers through Rozhen. A bus got stuck while climbing the slope. The police are urging drivers to use the alternative route through the Rozhen pass.
Snowfall is falling in the high parts of the Rhodope Mountains. Traffic for trucks through the Rozhen and Prevala passes is restricted.
