The Prosecutorial College of the Supreme Judicial Council is about to make a key choice, NOVA reported.
The personnel department must determine who will be the new Sofia City Prosecutor. There are two candidates - the current acting Emilia Rusinova and the investigator Boyko Atanasov.
Rusinova took over the position after the retirement of Iliana Kirilova. In mid-May last year, the competition for Sofia City Prosecutor failed after the only candidate, Angel Iliev, withdrew in the middle of the procedure.
The City Prosecutor's Office is of key importance for the state prosecution, as it is the only one that can investigate persons with immunity.
