Boyko Borisov came to power with support from the "Global Bulgaria" circle, which included Capital and the entire, democratic NGO space. In this short "marriage" with the liberal, urban community, he made their faces prominent ministers, deputy prime ministers, and even president, and gave political careers to people like Assen Vassilev, Hristo Ivanov and Rumyana Bachvarova. Then the marriage ended and in one day they became his biggest enemies.
In 2020 and 2021, Slavi Trifonov did the same thing - a short, protest "marriage" with the liberal community, they governed together, quarreled and - boom, the next day they declared him the "little DPS", as if nothing had happened.
Rumen Radev created Kiril Petkov and "Promyanata", fired them, on his back they won some elections and formed a cabinet. Again in one day they turned around and started calling him a Russian agent, as if he were not their political father.
In Bulgaria, this community - the liberal NGO network, is like a parasite that is constantly looking for a new host, on whose back it can get to power, because it cannot on its own.
And always - absolutely always, it uses its host and at one point starts to bite it viciously, as if they had not been together until yesterday. The dog from the proverb "feed a dog to bark at you". Every previous host of this parasite has subsequently been bitten by it. Absolutely everyone.
It would be wise for Yotova and Radev to do this calculation now, when they are giving power to the liberal, NGO parasite for the second time. The marriage may take some time, even if it is formalized with a coalition after the elections, but mark my words - all the NGO ministers who nod and smile at you sarcastically today will curse you on Facebook tomorrow and jump under the windows when their sect turns against you again. This is a regularity and an iron rule in our new history.
