The new acting Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Angelina Boneva officially took over the management of the department from her predecessor Ivan Ivanov. At the handover ceremony, Boneva stated that her main mission over the next three months will be to work for fair elections, ensure stability in the sector and prevent suspension of key infrastructure projects.
As a leading task in her work, the new minister indicated the organizational and technical preparation of the upcoming elections, in the part that is within the competence of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the General Directorate of Urban Development.
I am entering the ministry with the clear task of being a good manager for these three months. My goal is not political promises, but expert management. The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works must not stop working – The projects continue, and transparency will be the leading priority, Minister Boneva was categorical.
The previous Minister Ivan Ivanov wished success to the interim cabinet and emphasized that he leaves the department in good condition, with good progress on many of the key projects and that the work on them will continue with high quality and at a good pace.
