Head of State Iliana Yotova will host the traditional iftar dinner on the occasion of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims, dariknews.bg reported.
Representatives of both the Muslim community and other traditional religious communities in Bulgaria have been invited to the solemn event. Representatives of state institutions, the diplomatic corps, as well as prominent figures from the spheres of spirituality, culture, education and science are also expected to participate in the iftar.
The traditional iftar dinner is an expression of respect for religious traditions and a desire for dialogue, understanding and tolerance between the different communities in the country. The event affirms the values of mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, which are the foundation of Bulgarian society.
