Danger of overflow of the Cherni Lom River near three Ruse villages, the Ruse Regional Administration reports, adding that controlled release of fish ponds is taking place in neighboring Razgrad region.
The level of the Cherni Lom River near three villages in the Dve Mogili municipality has risen and has almost reached the critical overflow current. According to the deputy regional governor of Ruse, Georgi Georgiev, there are no expectations for an additional rise in the waters.
There is a slight overflow of the river near the village of Ostritsa, which has affected several acres of agricultural land. There is also a partial risk of flooding of the road infrastructure, but in such a case a bypass route will be introduced immediately.
At the same time, a controlled release of water from the fishponds in the village of Kostandenets, Razgrad district, has begun. This is due to an overflow through the dam, which, however, has not been compromised.
The Ruse village of Svalenik is close to them, but - according to its mayor - there is absolutely no reason to worry and there is no danger of flooding in the village.
