After the heavy snowfall in recent hours, there is a danger of river overflows in the country. Last night, the BG-Alert system was activated in the Galabovo municipality, due to the level of the Sokolitsa River. The warning is for the residents of the village of Obruchishte, BNT reported.
The heavy rainfall has significantly raised the water level of the river. Fire brigade teams have been sent to the site to monitor for a possible danger to the village. On their Facebook page, the Galabovo municipality reported that the situation remains critical at this time.
A complicated situation also exists in the Haskovo region, where rivers have overflowed their banks in several places. A crisis headquarters was convened in Simeonovgrad after the Sazliyka River overflowed its bank and flooded yards in the village of Kalugerovo.
