The decision is in the hands of President Iliana Yotova – after the caretaker government sent a proposal to the head of state for the dismissal of the Secretary General Miroslav Rashkov. Yesterday, the acting Minister of Interior Emil Dechev announced his request for the replacement, and among the reasons cited the insufficient work of the professional leadership of the Ministry of Interior in the elections in Pazardzhik and the attacks on the mayor of the Bistritsa district of the capital.
Dechev also said that he was looking for the Deputy Secretary General Yavor Serafimov, who in a statement to NOVA specified that he was in the hospital and had notified the Secretary General about this.
