Marin Malchev is the new district prosecutor of Sofia. The Prosecutor's College elected Malchev with 8 votes "for" and zero "against", BNT reported.
The proposal of the acting Minister of Justice Andrey Yankulov to postpone the election and to collect additional information on whether there is any data on the candidate's connections with Martin Bozanov - the Notary was rejected. The Prosecutor's College justified itself by saying that they had already heard from everyone involved in the "Notary" case and the name of Marin Malchev was not mentioned anywhere and does not exist.
