I did not feel forced to do anything outside my official duties, and I was not given any instructions regarding the actions in the investigation, said Angel Papalezov, head of the "Criminal Police" department at the General Directorate of Internal Affairs during his hearing in the plenary hall. The hearing of Papalezov, as well as heads of services in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, is due to information that has emerged about pressure from the minister in the "Petrokhan" case. The item is on today's agenda of the parliamentarians at the suggestion of “There is such a people“.

On February 22, I received a call from Minister Emil Dechev with his request to receive an annotation of what happened in the investigation and operational - search actions in the two cases, said Papalezov. Papalezov informed his direct superior Emil Parmakov about this and asked him, in turn, to inform the management of the directorate about the upcoming meeting.

"In the conversation with Parmakov and Vaskov, we specified that the information that I can present to Minister Dechev is an annotation of what was presented in the two briefings and which is public and allowed by the supervising prosecutor to be disclosed", Papalezov pointed out.

According to him, the meeting was held at the “Niagara" restaurant, short – 10-15 minutes, during which he presented the brief annotation and did not receive any additional instructions about the investigation and the behavior of the operatives and investigating police officers. The only instruction I received was that those involved in the two cases should be at the Ministry of Interior the next day so that we could further inform him about the progress of the investigation, he added.
