The bill on amendments to the Budget Extension Law has been submitted to the National Assembly, according to a report on the parliament's website, BTA reports.
Yesterday, the draft Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on the Collection of Revenues and the Execution of Expenditures in 2026 until the adoption of the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2026 was adopted by the Cabinet. The draft laws on the State Social Security budget for 2026 and the National Health Insurance Fund Budget Act were also adopted.
The changes allow, upon subsequent approval by the National Assembly, the effect of the extension law not to be limited to March 31, but to continue until the adoption of the regular state budget for 2026.
The acting Minister of Finance Georgi Klisurski specified yesterday that the budget plan will not be increased. He noted that slightly higher values have been set for the sections abroad and at this stage only a reduction, not an increase, in expenses is possible.
