The Minister of Regional Development Angelina Boneva has dismissed the Chairman of the Board of the "Road Infrastructure" Agency, Eng. Yordan Valchev, due to a lack of communication regarding repairs during the holidays, affecting traffic to Greece, she told journalists in Brussels, BNR reports.
"The reasons are complex, I would say, but the most important was one situation that arose - a lack of communication with me as the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, and definitely a lack of communication with the citizens regarding the upcoming holidays. "I took over the organization of traffic manually," Boneva explained.
And she specified that today she is being replaced by another deputy minister, who also took over the matter manually.
The goal is for Bulgarians and Greeks to travel normally during these shared days, which are coming up on holidays, the children have vacations, repairs cannot be made right now that have not been approved by me, Minister Boneva further explained.
We recall that Yordan Valchev was dismissed by order of Minister Boneva yesterday and Eng. Stoyan Nikolov will serve as Chairman of the Management Board of RIA until a successor is appointed.
