The "Vazrazhdane" party has submitted documents to the Central Election Commission (CEC) for registration to participate in the early parliamentary elections on April 19 this year, BTA reports. "Vazrazhdane" goes to these elections with the request to win them and be an unavoidable factor in the government and in the current geopolitical situation in the world, to fight for a strong and independent Bulgaria, said the deputy chairman of the parliamentary group of “Vazrazhdane“ Petar Petrov. We will achieve it, as we have always done so far – with direct contact with Bulgarian citizens on the ground, with consistent positions in parliament and outside the plenary hall, as well as with the request that we be the political entity that will govern Bulgaria and make the lives of Bulgarians better, said Petrov.
We have submitted over six thousand signatures, which are much more than required by law. The lists are ready and we will register them on time, it remains to be decided who will lead where, added Petrov, who registered the party together with the chairman of “Vazrazhdane“ – Sofia and municipal councilor in the Sofia Municipal Council Deyan Nikolov and Svetoslav Todorov, former MP.
Any political party that finds a place in the 52nd National Assembly is welcome to talk with us about governing Bulgaria, to hear what our policies are and if they share them, to negotiate. Asked whether GERB and “DPS - New Beginning“ are joining them, he replied “they are not joining, because the “Vazrazhdane“ party was created against GERB and “DPS- New Beginning“.
When asked how they think the changes in the Electoral Code will affect the result of “Vazrazhdane“, Petrov replied that this will be determined by the Bulgarian citizens. It is important for us how the result of the “DPS - New Beginning“ will be reflected, we do not want Turkey to determine Bulgaria's policy, said Petrov. According to him, after the sections in Turkey were reduced to 20, their votes will drop significantly not only in the upcoming parliamentary elections, but also in the next presidential elections in mid-November.
Petrov called on citizens around the world to go out and vote.
Regarding the increase in the price of water, he commented that the head of the Water and Sewerage Holding should resign not only because of the prices, but also because of the huge water losses in the network in the districts of Pernik, Shumen, Pleven, Montana. All employees and heads of ministries who did nothing to solve the water crisis should also leave, said Petrov. In the last six months, despite the creation of a National Water Board, not a single water pipe has been laid anywhere, added Petrov.
