Stanislav Balabanov from "There are such people" accused the PP-DB of trying to cover up the "Petrohan" scandal through the official cabinet with political attacks against the regulators. On the air of "Wake up" on NOVA, he also commented on the high utility bills, emphasizing that while in Sofia they seem normal, in the country people are faced with a huge jump in electricity and water prices.
According to Balabanov, the current rulers are using the KEVR as a screen. "Those who are currently governing the country - the PP-DB through the official cabinet - are currently throwing some such small smokescreens and pirates to cover up the big bomb that fell on them with the Petrohan case," he said. Balabanov pointed out that while the Energy Regulatory Commission ordered only a 2% increase last year, people's real bills have increased by about 15%.
The MP from the ITN paid special attention to the personnel policy and the revelations surrounding the Minister of Agriculture Hristanov. Balabanov showed a photo of Desislava Nikolova, who he claims is Hristanov's PR.
“Is it true that she was detained on November 30, 2025 at 07:40 in the morning on “Buzludzha” Street in Sofia with amphetamines? Is it true that she was taken for 24 hours to the Sixth District and charged under Art. 354a of the Criminal Code?”, Balabanov asked. He stressed that while Bozhidar Bozhanov claims that they have nothing to do with the official cabinet, the facts about the appointments show otherwise.
Stanislav Balabanov was categorical that “There are such people” will continue to reveal the truth about the events in Petrokhan. “There will be such people who will stop the sect in Petrokhan, will bring out the whole truth, will protect the traditional Bulgarian family and the children of Bulgaria”, he said. Balabanov defined the actions of PP-DB as “the antithesis of everything normal” and stressed that ITN will not form a coalition with the status quo parties – GERB, MPS and BSP.
The MP concluded that responsibility always lies with those who make decisions at the national level: “When there are problems with the team, the coach pays the price. In this case, the coach is the one who makes the decisions in the executive branch”.
