We are going on a march for the future of Bulgaria. We will win these elections with the awareness that we will establish governance with clear rules, the same for everyone. This was promised by President (2017 - 2026) Rumen Radev in Stara Zagora, where he joined the celebrations on the occasion of March 3, BTA specified.

According to him, the early parliamentary vote faces Bulgaria with two choices – either a progressive Bulgaria or an oligarchy.

„We want to guarantee every Bulgarian for security and decent incomes. Any diversion of civic energy along any other intermediate paths will lead us to the well-known blockage of the last five years“, Radev added.

According to him, preserving our freedom is especially important today, when the world order is crumbling before our eyes. “Bulgarians must realize that in order to preserve our homeland - our children, our homes and our future, we must be united. We must not succumb to political and any other divisions“, the president also said. He pointed out that it is important that the country is not left in the hands of traders. Stating that this is the cause of the coalition “Progressive Bulgaria“, which was registered for the upcoming April 19 vote.

Radev explained that work is currently underway to prepare the lists of candidates for MPs from the coalition and they will be announced within the legal deadline.

He expressed gratitude to the coalition partners who participated in the registration of the coalition. “This is an important mission with two important goals - to dismantle the oligarchic model and strengthen statehood and open the way for Bulgaria to develop as a normal, progressive European country“, he also said. And he said that he knows that there is currently pressure on everyone who is part of the new coalition, which is felt. “But, as I said, this mission requires courage, because it will not be easy, it will not be safe. But there are enough people who will do everything possible to open the way for Bulgaria's development," Radev stressed. He expressed gratitude to the VMRO party, which has already declared its support, as well as to all others who will do so. "Because they are clearly aware of their responsibility and have a sober assessment that these elections put Bulgaria before two paths - either a progressive Bulgaria or an oligarchy," Radev added.

According to him, any diversion of civic energy along any other intermediate paths will lead to the well-known blockage of the last five years. And this means a fragmented and weak parliament, regular governments taken over by the oligarchy, with a short shelf life, or ugly assemblies that disgusted Bulgarians and killed the hope for change.

„We announce today that we are embarking on a campaign for the future of Bulgaria and will win these elections with the clear awareness that we will establish a government that will establish clear rules, the same for everyone, that will protect public finances and business from the oligarchy, that will establish an environment in which we can record truly sustainable, high economic growth and provide a guarantee for every Bulgarian - for security, for decent incomes and for European Bulgarianness“, said Radev.

In his speech, Rumen Radev commented that what is happening in the Middle East is very worrying. “The key to the stability of the Middle East is for Iran to abandon its nuclear and ballistic program“, said the president. And he pointed out that the experience of recent decades of conflicts in the Middle East shows that any unilateral military intervention without a mandate from the United Nations leads to long-term instability and risks. And Europe is the most affected - both from the increase in the price of energy carriers, which we are already seeing, as well as increased inflation, an increased migration wave and the risk of terrorism, Radev explained.

And in connection with the re-basing of tanker aircraft at “Vasil Levski“ airport It should be clear that every exercise in a joint format is planned from the previous year and is included in the plans for the exercises for the following year, Radev added.

Radev expressed gratitude for the invitation to be part of the holiday celebrations for March 3 in Stara Zagora. He emphasized that he chose to be part of the celebrations in Stara Zagora because the city is a symbol of freedom, of sacrifice, and it is here that the memory of what the price of this freedom is is most vivid.

„Happy holiday to all Bulgarians, thank you to the people of Stara Zagora for the invitation to celebrate the national holiday together. Let us show that our and foreign heroes did not give their lives in vain. Let us show that we preserve the memory of them and value our freedom“, Radev also pointed out.
