Castling of the final right. Former Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov is not the proposal of the governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) for deputy governor. This was confirmed only to FOCUS by reliable sources.
We recall that FOCUS first wrote that Zhelyazkov would be proposed for the post of deputy governor of the BNB, but apparently the plan changed at the last minute.
Instead, Dimitar Radev will propose Karina Karaivanova. In 2018, she was the chairwoman of the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC). She was Deputy Finance Minister in 2012.
BNB Governor Dimitar Radev is expected to submit a proposal with her name inside the National Assembly today.
