Krum Zarkov accepted the proposal of the BSP District Council in Burgas to lead the list of the "United Left" coalition in the 2nd multi-mandate electoral district.

Zarkov is also expected to lead the list in the 24th electoral district in Sofia. The party's Executive Bureau must approve the leaders of the lists for the upcoming elections on Saturday. This evening, the BSP leader met with party supporters in Burgas.

The parties in the BSP-United Left coalition will remain in these elections, said Krum Zarkov, after the meeting of the BSP Regional Council in Burgas:

"United Left is composed of many parties that were with us in the previous elections. We see this as the beginning of a large left-wing unification of all socialist and social democratic forces in Bulgaria and we have requests for other political forces that want to join. However, the calendar is pressing. We need to register the lists in the coming days, so we will find a way to partner."

How will the BSP deal with the outflow of sympathizers who will vote for Rumen Radev's new political project?

"The Socialists, who have elected President Radev twice, who consider him close, are naturally thinking about it. The relationship between the BSP and those who vote for it is very strong. There were disappointments, I myself was disappointed, but there are also actions that will make us stay together, because it makes sense for us."

If the BSP-United Left enters the next parliament, this will give our country a boost to get out of the political crisis, Krum Zarkov emphasized.
