With the rise in temperatures and the improvement of weather conditions, the Sofia Municipality has begun activities to remove road irregularities and “potholes“ on streets and boulevards in the city. The repairs are being carried out by filling the compromised sections with warm asphalt mixture, the municipal press center announced.
Work is already underway on the Ring Road in the area of the “Suhodol“ district, “Ovcha Kupel“. The activities are being carried out mainly in the dark part of the day (after 8:00 p.m.), in order not to hinder traffic and to limit the impact on traffic. Potholes and “potholes“ are being removed in the section between the “Lyulin“ roundabout and ul. “Suhodolska“. It is planned to work on Saturday in the area of the intersection of the Ring Road and ul. “Badeshte“/“Suhodolska“.
Asphalt patches are to be carried out on ul. “Lomsko Shose“ in the section from ul. “Vasil Levski“ to the Ring Road, as well as on ul. “3020“ in the “Vrabnitsa“ area.
Asphalt pavement repairs are also being carried out on streets in the “Nadezhda“ area – „Anastas Lozanchev“ Str., „Strema“ Str., „Georges Danton“ Str., „Demir Kapiya“ Str., as well as „Vasil Kanchev“ Str., „Evtim Evtimov“ Str., „Rezbarska“ Str., and „Alexander von Humboldt“ Str., etc.
On the local lane of „Tsar Boris III“ Blvd., in the section between „Zhitnitsa“ Str. and „Ovcha Kupel“ Str., the pavement is being repaired.
Repairs of sidewalks in various parts of the city are also continuing. Currently, work is underway on Tsar Simeon Street in the village of Marchaevo. Repairs are being made to the eastern sidewalk of Sredna Gora Street in the section from Slivnitsa Blvd. to St. St. Cyril and Methodius Street, etc.
Work is underway on the eastern sidewalk of 25th Street in the section from Sukh Geren Street to Bezimenna Street, as well as a complete repair of the southeastern sidewalk of Lajos Kossuth Street from Hristo Botev Blvd. to April 20th Street. Further repairs are planned on Vladaska Street. – from ul. „Joakim Karchovski“ to ul. „K. Pejchinovich“, as well as on sidewalks in the areas „Mladost“ and „Nadezhda“.
