"First, the return of people, secondly - the reserves of energy resources, and then the protection of our airspace", BSP MP and former Social Minister Borislav Gutsanov categorically stated on the air of “Sabû se“, commenting on the actions of the caretaker government in connection with the crisis in the Middle East. According to him, the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Transport are maximum, although the cabinet as a whole remains chaotic and inexperienced.

Gutsanov admitted that at the beginning of the evacuation, some Bulgarians returned home faster, including popular personalities and politicians, while families and children were still waiting for their flights. “The state and the three departments are doing the impossible so that our compatriots can return home“, he specified, emphasizing that human life is a top priority.

On the topic of military aircraft at Sofia Airport, Gutsanov explained that the decision was made by the Minister of Defense by law, without a collective decision of the cabinet. “I would not accept military aircraft at a civilian airport“, he commented and emphasized that peace should be the leading value, and Bulgaria should not participate directly in conflicts.

The crisis in the BSP was also discussed. Gutsanov stated that the party must be united and combine the liberal line of the new leadership with the conservative patriotic approach. “BSP is a cause and we are ready for anything so that the party can move forward“, he said, expressing hope that the new leader Krum Zarkov will restore the face of the party.
