A resident of the Burgas village of Tvarditsa, who claims that he received an inflated electricity bill, despite having a solar system installed for electricity production in his home, received a high electricity bill again. Georgi Dimitrov said at the time that he would file a complaint with the Energy Regulatory Commission (EKVR) and seek his rights through the courts, Nova TV reports.

„My new bill is 147 euros. On February 10, I filed a complaint with EVN and to this day I have not received a response. On February 21, I also filed a complaint with the Energy Regulatory Commission (EKVR), but there is no response again. However, filing a complaint with the Commission is very difficult. This happens through the KEVR portal, it is downloaded from their website as a Word file, then its format must be changed to pdf”, explained Dimitrov.

According to him, if a person does not have an electronic signature, then he cannot file such a complaint. This entire procedure took Georgi 45 minutes.

„On March 12 at 6 p.m. we will gather in front of the municipality to protest with demands for a new management of KEVR and an audit of the three energy companies. After that, we are waiting for the protests in Sofia, as well as national demonstrations”, said Dimitrov.

EVN states that all complaints that have reached them are considered within the period announced in the general terms and conditions. When there is a complaint to KEVR, they are obliged to provide all the necessary data for the respective batch.
