I have submitted a proposal for an Easter allowance for pensioners with a pension below the poverty line, in the amount of 55 euros. 856 thousand pensioners will receive it. All other pensioners will receive 15 euros for Easter. This was announced by the deputy chairman of the parliamentary group of “DPS-New Beginning“ Yordan Tsonev, who submitted amendments to the Budget Law of the Social Security Institution to the parliament today.
This proposal is a continuation of our social policy, Tsonev also said and recalled that last year pensioners received supplements for Easter and Christmas at the proposal of the parliamentary group.
To pay the supplements, 65.3 million euros will be needed from the budget.
The proposal will be considered in the extension law for the budget on Thursday.
Yordan Tsonev announced that “DPS-New Beginning“ will support the extension law for the budget.
