New hearing in the trial against Kiril Petkov

The Sofia City Court will hear the case against the former leader of “We Continue the Change“ Kiril Petkov. He is on trial for the arrest of Boyko Borisov, Vladislav Goranov and Sevdalina Arnaudova, committed in March 2022.

The charge against Petkov is for official crimes committed in his capacity as Prime Minister. It is expected whether GERB leader Boyko Borisov will be questioned at the request of the prosecutor's office. At the end of January, one of the witnesses in the case - policeman Tsvetan Yotsov from the GDNP, stated that the searches and arrests of Borisov, Goranov and Arnaudova were discussed with Petkov in the Council of Ministers.
