The reason is the ongoing dismissals in the Ministry of Interior, undertaken by Minister Dechev, of people involved in the "Petrohan" case

The parliamentary group of "There is such a people" has begun collecting signatures to hold an extraordinary plenary session of the 51st National Assembly on April 1, 2026 (Wednesday) at 2:00 p.m., the party's press center announced.

"The reason for this is the information that has leaked about the ongoing dismissals in the Ministry of Interior, undertaken by Minister Dechev, of people involved in the "Petrohan" case. The latest removal is of Senior Commissioner Kremena Ilieva, who until recently held the position of Director of the National Institute of Forensic Science at the Ministry of Interior," the ITN indicates.

"We call on all political parties who do not want the truth to be crushed by the PPDB coalition, which has its official cabinet, to support the holding of this extraordinary meeting with signatures. For now, we have the support of the GERB party group, we hope that other parties will also support this initiative. There is nothing more important than the truth. We at the ITN will not allow Bulgarian children to be touched with dirty hands and we will not allow those who supported this to get away with it," the information says.
