Open Day at the Vocational High School of Home Appliances in Plovdiv

Future engineers demonstrate control of power circuits with Arduino

A series of attractive games, competitions and demonstrations have been prepared by the high school students from the Vocational High School of Home Appliances on March 27 (Friday), when the Open Day at the school will be held.

One of the demonstrations is control of power circuits with Arduino. This is a key skill in robotics and automation, which the high school students from the vocational high school are successfully handling. It is also planned that the young technicians will show how a truly smart home works, equipped with a solar installation and an electrical installation that is controlled with wi-fi. The 12th grade students will also demonstrate optical communication technologies “FeberXperience“ - a practical demonstration of how information is transmitted through light through optical fibers.

The teachers of humanities have organized the game “Language Fair“, in which students will be able to show their knowledge not only in English, German and Russian, but also in their native Bulgarian language.

Just a few days ago, the graduates of the PG in household appliances returned from the National High School Competition “Energy and We“ in Varna, where they were awarded a number of awards. Second place in the category “Models“ received Dimitar Panev from 12th grade, majoring in "Computer Networks" and Atanas Petkov from 12th grade, majoring in "Electrical Installations". Their supervisors were Eng. Penka Yaneva and Eng. Yordanka Gospodinova. Under the supervision of Eng. Elena Katsarska, high school graduates Nacho Dimitrov and Lachezar Nikolov from 10th grade, majoring in "Computer Systems and Technologies", took third place in the category "Presentation of Student Development". In addition to the prizes, our students were also awarded 7 incentive awards from sponsors, which is another recognition of their work and talent.

The Open Day at the PG of Household Appliances will be held on March 27 this year. from 11 a.m. at the high school, which is located at 2 "Ivan Perpeliev" Street (opposite the First DCC).
