One of the main tasks of "Progressive Bulgaria" is to prevent our country from being drawn into the hot military conflicts that are raging around us. This was stated by the president (2017 - 2026) and leader of "Progressive Bulgaria" Rumen Radev during a pre-election meeting yesterday evening with citizens in Burgas, the party's press center announced, quoted by novini.bg.

Radev emphasized that the money of Bulgarian citizens should not go to these conflicts, but should remain for our pensioners, for our children, for quality healthcare, education and social infrastructure.

“Our task is to defend the Bulgarian national interest in the unions in which we are members. It cannot be done with ideology alone, there must also be pragmatic thinking in today's increasingly cruel and insecure world“, Rumen Radev also pointed out. He stressed that this is especially important when it comes to investments, energy resources or access to foreign markets.

“If we want Bulgaria to be competitive, like the EU itself, and not to lag behind all other global players, we must think about whether to be subject to ideologies or seek pragmatic solutions”, said the leader of “Progressive Bulgaria“ Radev stressed that Bulgaria cannot be expected to move forward and move together with other European countries if there is no justice in the country.
According to him, the election of a new prosecutor general is extremely important, but this does not exhaust the judicial reform and that is why “Progressive Bulgaria“ will undertake real reforms in the Ministry of Interior and the security services, to review key public procurements from which billions have been siphoned off.

„There are many people who have been on the state payroll all their lives, but are spreading themselves in palaces of pretenders. „Progressive Bulgaria“ will work to identify the actual owners, to verify the property they have and the income they have declared“, said Rumen Radev.

He emphasized that checks will also be carried out to identify properties, bank accounts and assets of Bulgarian citizens abroad with illegal and unclear origins and the system for confiscation of illegally acquired property will be strengthened.

The leader of „Progressive Bulgaria“ called on April 19th for citizens to give their opinion on politicians who promised a smooth adoption of the euro, a golden shower of investments and did not want to put the issue of readiness for the adoption of the euro to a referendum.

“They abandoned Bulgarians to the whims of galloping prices and did not foresee any financial buffers that I insisted on, did not implement any measures and no control”, Rumen Radev also stated.

Rumen Radev, who is also the leader of the list of “Progressive Bulgaria” in the Burgas multi-mandate electoral district, highlighted Burgas' potential to develop successfully as one of the key transport, logistics and tourist centers in our country. “Burgas has always been an open city and has looked to the sea and the horizon, but has never seen the horizon as an end, but as the next beginning. "And I am convinced of our common success," the leader of "Progressive Bulgaria" also pointed out.
