Bulgaria switched to summer time at 3:00 at night on March 29, the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology announced.

Summer time is introduced in implementation of Directive 2000/84/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of the European Union of January 19, 2001. According to it, clocks are moved forward one hour.

Summer time remains in effect until the night before the last Sunday in October (this year – before October 25), when the clocks go back one hour and we switch back to astronomical time.
