"Alpha Research": Five sure formations in the next parliament

For this purpose, it is important to hold fair elections on April 19 and for citizens to vote en masse

There are five sure parties and coalitions that are currently finding a place in the future 52nd parliament, according to data from a representative survey of the country's adult population, conducted by the "Alpha Research" agency and funded by the Bulgarian National Radio.

The data of sociologists shows that if the elections were held today, of those who firmly decided to vote, 30.8 percent would support the "Progressive Bulgaria" list.

In second place is GERB-SDF, 21.2 percent of Bulgarians would vote for them.

The coalition "Continuing the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" is third and collects the support of 11.1% of those who expressed a desire to vote.

The MRF ranks fourth with 9.8 percent declared support among voters.

Fifth are from "Vazrazhdane" – 6.9% intend to vote for them.

For the moment, below the line remain: "BSP-United Left" – 3.9%, MECH with 3 percent, "Siyanie" Coalition – 2.8% support, Velichie with 2.7%, Blue Bulgaria with 1.6 percent, ITN – 1.4%, APS – 1.2 percent. Other parties and coalitions garner the support of 3.6% of Bulgarians.

More than half of those surveyed (55.8%) intend to go to the ballot boxes/voting machines to cast their vote.

29.5 percent of Bulgarians are adamant that they will not exercise their constitutional right to vote and will not participate in the vote. 14.7% are hesitant.

43.1 percent of those surveyed expect that after the elections and the constitution of the new National Assembly, our country will be governed by a coalition government.

23.4 percent believe that there will be no understanding and new elections will be held.

14.4% assume that there will be a majority of one party in the future parliament, 12 percent of those surveyed have no opinion, and 7% expect an expert (program) government, which, however, will have a short life.

To the question: Should Bulgarians abroad have the opportunity to vote in the parliamentary elections in our country, 60% answer with a categorical "Yes", 33.8 with "No", and a little over 6 percent cannot decide.

What is the first problem that should be addressed in the future on a regular basis? government?

For 47 percent of our compatriots, these are incomes and inflation, for 33.% it is the fight against corruption and reform of the judicial system, 11.3 percent indicate Bulgaria's economic development, for 7% of Bulgarians it is healthcare, and 1.2 percent indicate roads and infrastructure.

If you had to choose one strategic partner, who would you recommend to politicians?

More than half of Bulgarians – 56.3 percent answer categorically that this is the European Union, for 19.5% it is Russia. For 7.8 percent, our country's strategic partner is the United States, for 6.4 percent – China, Turkey is ahead by 1.8%.

The data are from a representative survey of the country's adult population, conducted by the Alpha Research agency, under contract and with funding from the Bulgarian National Radio. Sample size: 1,000 people. A stratified two-stage sample with a quota based on the main socio-demographic characteristics was used. The information was collected through a direct standardized interview with tablets at the homes of the respondents.
