A 10-year-old child was transported for examination to the Shumen hospital after being injured in a traffic accident on the "Hemus" highway. The incident occurred between the "OMV" gas station and the Shumen neighborhood of "Matnitsa" in the direction of Sofia, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Shumen announced.
In just less than an hour, the duty unit received three reports of traffic accidents on the highway. In the remaining two cases, two drivers crashed themselves.

The police are urging drivers to drive carefully, as after the heavy rainfall, conditions for aquaplaning are possible in some places.
Police teams in Novi Pazar will assist traffic in the area of the problem areas, the Department of Road Safety and Traffic Management - Shumen added.
