„BSP was among the first political forces to react sharply to the agreement signed by the caretaker government with Ukraine". Krum Zarkov stated this on the air of „Sabù se“, defining the actions as „irresponsible“ and „anti-institutional“. According to him, such decisions cannot be made without public and political debate. „Politics cannot be done in the dark“, he emphasized.
Zarkov specified that although Andrey Gyurov has the authority to represent the state in international relations and to sign agreements, in this case the context is more important. According to him, the caretaker nature of the government and the complex political situation in the country and the world require a more careful approach. „There are 15 days left until the elections. Such decisions should be left to the next parliamentary majority“, Zarkov said.
He also commented on the war in Ukraine, pointing out that Russia's actions can be defined as an act of aggression, but the more important question is how to end the conflict.
Regarding relations with Rumen Radev, Zarkov noted that he remains a respected figure, but is not the party leader of the BSP. “He has gone his own way, but it is not ruled out that our paths will cross“, he added.
The BSP leader was categorical that the party will not partner with formations that, in his opinion, embody the status quo rejected by society since 2013, pointing out “DPS-New Beginning“ and GERB.
